Christmas is a magical time of year, certainly, but we know you all wait with baited breath for the Boxing Day football programme so you can test out your DraftKings daily fantasy football team against the best. Here are our suggestions to make your Christmas a cracker.

Goalkeeper

Victor Valdes Only two teams have scored fewer than Middlesbrough’s Boxing Day opponent Burnley, and Middlesbrough, a remarkably economical side, has only conceded 19 goals in a defensively-good season. This might not be an exciting team, but Valdes is a good pick for your DraftKings squad.

DraftKings $5,100

Darren Randolph West Ham has been leaking unnecessary goals, but against goal-shy Swansea, this could be the game for you to pick up a good-value goalkeeper, and to get a clean sheet.

DraftKings $4,700

Defender

Aleksandar Kolarov Kolarov might have had some calamitous performances recently, but against Arsenal he was well-protected and barely threatened in the second half. Possessing a dangerous shot, with Hull likely to be on the back foot in this game, the Serb could be a bumper points-winner.

DraftKings $4,600

David Luiz No team is performing better than Chelsea right now, and while David Luiz hasn’t scored many attacking points, he will get plenty of opportunity to advance forward with the ball against Bournemouth, and may double up his likely clean-sheet points with a goal or assist.

DraftKings $4,200

Midfield

Jesse Lingard Lingard started United’s last match, and is likely to put Sunderland’s overworked backline under significant pressure. He has two assists already and looks likely to add to that over the festive period.

DraftKings $5,700

Leroy Sane Superb in a goalscoring and goal-making performance against Arsenal, with Sergio Aguero still suspended it’s likely the young German will get another chance to impress against Hull. It looks like DraftKings still undervalues Sane, who is a lot lower-proced than his more regularly-starting team-mate Kevin de Bruyne.

DraftKings $5,900

Forward

Michy Batshuayi Diego Costa is suspended for the Bournemouth game, and that will likely mean a first start for Batshuayi, who has been waiting for an opportunity since joining the club in the summer. Costa is in great form and the Belgian presents a different style of play, but still is almost certain to get a battery of chances to score.

DraftKings $7,300

Andy Carroll At Christmas, we all like a Carroll, and the West Ham Striker, recently back from injury, will relish the chance to take his physical game to the Swansea defence, which does not enjoy challenges from a big man up-front.

DraftKings $6,400

Christmas is a magical time of year, certainly, but we know you all wait with baited breath for the Boxing Day football programme so you Continue Reading

[2,5
